C Category

Practical training for Category C

The practical part of Category C training is conducted in real traffic conditions and involves mastering:

proper starting, stopping, and handling of heavy-duty goods vehicles,
proper handling of controls and gear shifting in accordance with the vehicle's load,
driving in a queue, merging into traffic, and adapting to traffic density,
negotiating intersections, roundabouts, and complex traffic situations,
safe turning, overtaking, and stopping with an increased turning radius,
estimating the vehicle's width and length during maneuvering
driving on the open road and various types of road surfaces while complying with regulations for heavy goods vehicles,
proper use of mirrors, blind spots, and safety zones.

Who is eligible for Category C training?

To enroll in Category C training, a candidate must:

be at least 20 years old to begin training if they have held a Category B license for at least 2 years,
or be at least 21 years old if they are obtaining the right to drive vehicles of this category for the first time,
possess a valid medical certificate for operating heavy goods vehicles,
possess a valid ID card,
complete theoretical training and pass the theoretical exam before starting practical training,
successfully complete the prescribed number of practical driving lessons,
fulfill all legally prescribed requirements for taking the practical exam.
