Practical training for CE category

The practical part of the training for the CE category is conducted in real traffic conditions and includes mastering:

proper starting, stopping, and handling of a goods vehicle with a trailer or semi-trailer,
proper use of controls, braking, and gear shifting in accordance with the load and cargo distribution,
driving in a convoy and adapting to traffic density,
negotiating intersections, roundabouts, and complex traffic situations,
safe overtaking, passing, and timely assessment of the overall length of the vehicle combination,
maneuvering the vehicle during coupling and uncoupling of the trailer, parking, and reversing,
driving on open roads and adapting to different road conditions, with strict compliance with regulations for vehicles over 3,500 kg and articulated vehicles.

Who can undergo training for the CE category?

To enroll in CE category training, the candidate must:

hold a valid C category license (without it, enrollment in CE training is not possible),
be at least 21 years old, or 20 years old if they have held a C category license for at least 2 years,
hold a valid medical certificate for operating goods vehicles with a trailer/semi-trailer,
possess a valid ID card,
complete the theoretical training for the CE category and pass the theoretical exam before the practical part,
complete the prescribed number of hours of practical training, including maneuvering, coupling and uncoupling the trailer, and driving in real traffic conditions,
meet all legal requirements to take the practical driving exam for the CE vehicle category.
